Party planning

..ok, so its 19 days to go to our journey to Neverland – I have a lot to do. Last night we had our second work party.

  • Invitations are done and printed out – today I need to get envelopes, so we can send them to school. 20 children on our list, 16 on Charlotte’s. That’s a lot of children.
  • The photo booth has been sketched and the faces cut out, TJ is going to get onto painting it.
  • The hook toss has been constructed, needs painting – that’ll be my job.
  • The plank has been made, for walking… and the signpost is done.
  • Stickers to decorate various things are also done
  • Sugar crystals started growing last night – I will need to do another batch – the kids love them, they are easy, but they are painful! And when one must make 40….
  • Goodie jars and pixie dust jars have been bought, and sweeties are being ordered.
  • Figurines for the cake are done!

So, I think we are well on our way… It’s going to be quite an event.

So jobs outstanding are the painting, some bunting, constructing a den – which we will do on the beach, and sorting out the treasure chest.

We are hosting this party at one of the nearby, ever so slightly out of town beaches, where we have a beach house, so I think it will work out amazingly – the kids will be able to have a huge party on the beach – walking the plank into the lagoon; digging for buried treasure, with a map; making their own pixie dust; getting a temporary tattoo at Smee’s parlour… This is just an awesome theme!
